Lets talk about how to Feng Shui your office

Lets put aside the social media tips, the SEO and the list building for a moment. I want you to seriously consider how important it is to Feng Shui your office.

I am sure that we can all agree that the right mindset is very important for your home based business. And I am sure that we can all agree that a clear and focused work space can reflect on your clear and focused progress (do you get much work done if you are sat in bed? No. That is because beds give off a different energy).

Are you still with me on this one? :)

Well lets step it up a gear….. lets take time out from phoning customers, sending emails and writing posts…..

How To Feng Shui Your Office

LETS FENG SHUI YOUR OFFICE!

Are you sitting comfortably?…….

Then we shall begin the ancient Chinese art to increase the positive qi in the office. This is how to arrange your environment to enhance your life.

First thing first, is your office space tidy? Is everything working correctly? If you have a creaking door then fix it. Do your best to keep everything working well and clean.

And be sure to surround your work space with things that inspire you. Things that make you feel prosperous. It is all about positivity!

As you enter the room I am going to explain what each area represents.

Near Left Corner= Knowledge & Self.

Involve some black, blue or green. This part of the room will benefit from inspirational pictures or quotes. Anything that makes you feel wise.

Middle Left= Health & Family.

Involve something blue or green. This part of the room will benefit from pictures of family, something made of wood or a house plant.

Far Left Corner= Wealth & Prosperity.

Involve the colours blue, purple and/or red. This area is very important for your home based business! Is it cluttered? Enhance this area with something that makes you feel abundant,  water, a healthy plant, money or something that moves like a wind chime.

Far Middle= Fame & Reputation.

Involve red things. This part of the room will benefit from triangles, animals, fire and wood.

Far Right Corner= Love & Relationships.

Involve some reds and pinks. This part will benefit from anything romantic. Maybe some flowers or wedding photos or hearts.

Middle Right= Creativity & Children.

Involve any pastel colours. This part of room will benefit from any children’s art, metal, games and bells.

Bottom Right= Helpful People & Travel.

Involve some grey or black. This area will benefit from pictures of where you have travelled or want to travel. Also, pictures of mentors or spirit guides. And silver objects.

Bottom Middle= Career.

Involve black if possible. This area will benefit from anything that represents what path you want to be on. Try to enhance this area with glass, mirror or curved furniture.

Middle Of Room= Center.

Involve earth colours. This will benefit from yin/yang symbol, pottery, sun, stars and plants.

Hot Tips On How To Feng Shui Your Office

Ok so now you know what part of each room represents what area in your life, lets get down to specific tips for your office. Obviously all of the subjects above are relevant in life. But some areas are more relevant to your success in your home based business.

Your prosperity corner is the far left corner of the room. Please take a look at that area of the room now. Can you involve more blues, purples or reds? What about something that makes you feel more prosperous? Could you go as far as getting a table water feature? At the least please keep this area clean.

And Now For The Feng Shui Power Position!

‘The power position?’ I hear you all say, ‘What on earth is the power position?’. Well this is the position of your desk. Ideally you want your desk to be in a place where you can see the door to your office. If this is not possible then you can put a mirror on your desk that helps you to see the door (yes it is that important!).

I hope that you have found benefit from these Feng Shui tips for your office!

This is very interesting stuff Aidan! I’m going to have to try it out!!

I have heard of these ideas before, but never put them into action before. I’m all about “if you want something you’ve never had before you have to do something you’ve never done before”, so this feng shui your office just might be an excellent additive to my new life!!

Thank you so very much for sharing, and explaining it in such great detail!!

Hey Aidan,

I never really thought of this or how it may be affecting me.

As network marketers who are usually big fans of the “law of attraction” and positive energy, office Feng Shui is probably missed by most but has to do with a very similar topic, “energy”.

Thanks for the tips! I will be sure to take a hard look at my office space and work environment in general.

Aidan, thanks for this I have delved into Feng Shui awhile ago but haven’t thought of it recently so you have reminded me again. I had not thought of a power position for my desk so I will be rearranging today.

Many thanks Vanessa,

Each point on the desk is also important, good idea. Hey, I certainly do not claim to be a feng shui expert. I am only sharing what I have learnt.

I am sure that you agree that finding a balance is important. We can not expect a shift of furniture to shift our life. We must improve our mindset as well as our surroundings for this to work.

Thanks to everyone for your comments. I wish every visitor of this site amazing success in whatever venture they choose. Keep them coming. :)

Hi Aidan,

Thanks for reminding me about Feng Shui. I’ve been aware of this for a long time but hadn’t yet worked on this in my office which I’ve been in a year.

My office is very small and my desk is the full length of the left hand side of the room so it will mean implementing each point on my desk.

I’ll probably have to put a mirror in the corner so that I can see my door. It will be nice to see how much more productive I’ll become after doing this.

Thanks,

Vanessa

Hi Aiden!

I know what feng shui is, but I have never read much, although I must say that I love water features, chimes and some of the other things you mentioned. This is really interesting and makes a lot of sense, especially from the standpoint of keeping things clean and organized and incorporating meaningful objects.

Hopefully, you will bring us more posts about these issues in the future.

Aidan,
Thanks for clarifying in such detail the tips for feng shui. I enter my office through my kitchen, yet my clients enter through the outside through french doors. So I’m not sure which corner is near or far or which “entrance” is the one you refer to. Could you clarify? My desk faces the outer entrance, not the inner.
Thanks so much,
Adam

I’ve known what Feng Shui is but never considered it for my office. We have been very fortunate to move all over California (just to experience the state) and we’re finally settling down for 9 months are so and I have a very nice office. I’ll implement your suggestions, thank you.

I actually moved my office about three or four months ago and did the fung shui and I followed it to a T. It really does help with focus and clarity. We are moving and I have been trying to figure out where to put my desk in the new office. This actually helps because on the wall I want it – I would be facing away from the door. I need to rethink that. Thanks for this, the timing was right, I have a map sitting on my desk that I was using to figure out my new space. Have a great day.
